The workstations are all running on Intel NUC's. I have tried CentOS which worked, but had some compatibility issues such as random shuddering and freezing when using KDE or Gnome. Ubuntu 16.04 fails to install. I tried Ubuntu 12.04 which worked great, but I would like to upgrade to the newest version for up-to-date performance and security fixes.

I booted up using the Linux Mint 17 KDE DVD, which had some graphical corruptions when booting but otherwise loaded fine, and I could run the installer from the KDE desktop.

If it outputs these PXE messages, it means that it did not find any properly bootable media. This may be because your media is set up for UEFI boot and UEFI support is disabled. Alternatively, it may be set up for Legacy boot and Legacy support is disabled. BTW, Rufus is the tool most folks use to.
